Yasmin Hicks

Yasmin completed her undergraduate LLB Law degree at the University of Kent where she developed a strong foundation in Migration and Refugee law. Following this, she pursued a first class master’s degree in Human Rights Law at the University of Melbourne. To further her practical expertise, Yasmin also completed her Practical Legal Training (PLT) at the College of Law, equipping her with the experience and skills required. 

Yasmin demonstrates a profound passion for migration law, particularly her interest lies in refugee law and protection visas. As a migrant herself, Yasmin draws on her unique personal experiences of the visa application process. Having personally navigated this visa process, Yasmin possesses an empathetic understanding of the complexities and stresses involved in obtaining a visa. She is dedicated to easing this process for others and providing support where it is needed most in hopes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those navigating this visa process. 

Outside of her professional endeavours, Yasmin enjoys cooking and baking for friends and family. Additionally, she takes full advantage of the warm days by spending time at the beach.
